⛳️ From Coach Rokusek: The Varsity Trapper Golf team competed at the Southeast SD Small Schools Invite at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton. On the girls side, Campbell Mogck earned a 15th place medal—great work, Campbell! 👏 On the boys side, Brigham Rokusek led the team with a score of 92. Nice effort by all of our Trappers as they continue to improve each time out! 💪🏌️

Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers Fall To Parkston Jv After Late Score By GameChanger Media Wednesday's game against Parkston Jv was a heartbreaker for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers, as they lost the lead late in a 10-8 defeat. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the fourth when Burke Nuebel singled, scoring two runs. Parkston Jv rallied for the victory despite trailing 6-2 in the second. A single by Lane Pavel put Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers on the board in the top of the first. Parkston Jv captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Hayden Mette singled down the right field line, and Parkston Jv scored on a passed ball, each scoring one run. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 6-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Pavel that drove in two. Parkston Jv flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Leyton Sudbeck that drove in three. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers tied the game in the top of the fourth thanks to a single by Luke Bierle, and a passed ball. Creighton Klumb earned the win for Parkston Jv. The pitcher gave up three hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out five and walking three. Carson Pietz took the loss for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) on four hits, striking out one and walking three. Kolton Bierle led things off on the hill for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers. The right-handed pitcher allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Landon Weber started on the hill for Parkston Jv. The pitcher gave up three hits and five runs over one and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four. Pavel provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers with three runs batted in. The third baseman went 2-for-2 on the day. Parker Streyle paced Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Nuebel and Mette were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Parkston Jv while hitting back-to-back. Nuebel and Sudbeck each drove in two runs for Parkston Jv. Parkston Jv turned one double play in the game. Parkston Jv were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Javin Kniffen made the most plays with five. An inside the park home run by Mason Jervik on a full count put Parkston Varsity Trojans on the board in the bottom of the first. Parkston Varsity Trojans added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Brycen Bruening singled, scoring one run, and Jaxx Kurtenbach homered to left field, scoring three runs. Grady Bowar earned the win for Parkston Varsity Trojans. The righty allowed nine hits and four runs (two earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out four and walking one. Erick Buechler took the loss for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The starter went three innings, giving up five runs on six hits, striking out two and walking two. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers amassed nine hits in the game. Buechler provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers with two runs batted in. The pitcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Luke Bierle led Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers with three hits in four at bats. Riley Keppen and Lane Pavel each collected multiple hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. Parkston Varsity Trojans amassed 10 hits in the game. The middle school and JV Trapper golf teams competed in Burke and Gregory today. In the JV division Campbell Mogck got 7th place. In the Junior High Girls division Alody Gramkow got 14th and Sutton Bueber got 6th In the JH Boys Tommy Robb got 15th, Owen Bueber got 9th, Brigham Rokusek 8th, Parker Vaith 7th and Asher Sykora 4th. The boys Division was tight. Only 2 shots separated 9th and 1st place!!
