Students who will be in grades 7, 9, and 11 next school year (2026-27) and new students to the district who plan on going out for athletics plus all football players (12 years or older) no matter what grade you will be in, must do the ImPact testing. Students must be at least 12 on the day of the test. This is a baseline test which is used concerning concussion testing. This test (done in the high school computer lab near the library) will be done by Shaina Tycz on the following dates and times:
Next year’s 7th grade-Monday, April 27, 7:30 a.m.
Next year’s 9th grade-Tuesday, April 28, 7:30 a.m.
Next year’s 11th grade-Wednesday, April 29, 7:30 a.m.
Football players 12 years or older not in grades 7, 9, and 11-Thursday, April 30, 7:30 a.m.
Parents and students must sign the permission slip (given to students) and return it at the time of the test. Also, if you do not attend on the above dates and times, you will still need to do this test at another time at the discretion of the physical therapist. This must be done before your first practice next school year. If you have a question, contact Jim Kocer at 605-583-2237 or e-mail at jim.kocer@k12.sd.us.

If you’re interested in purchasing one, contact Miss Tia Smith at Tia.Smith@k12.sd.us
