Guthmiller was dominant in the circle, as the pitcher rang up 12 strikeouts in Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers's 9-0 victory over Centerville Tornadoes on Monday. Guthmiller surrendered zero hits and zero runs over five innings while walking eight.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Bierle singled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored two runs.

Big shoutout to our 7th graders for espresso-ing what it means to be ready, respectful, and responsible! ☕👏 During the third quarter, middle school students earned tickets for showing these positive behaviors, and the 7th grade brewed up the most tickets of all! As their reward, they chose a trip to Maeday’s Coffee and Boutique, where every student enjoyed a drink of their choice. A huge thank you to Madison Mehlhaff, Allison at Maeday’s, Marchell DeLange, and Alicia Gramkow for your generosity in making this treat possible. You helped make this experience latte fun and memorable for our students! 🧡

The 8th graders had a good time reviewing the periodic table by playing Battleship! ⚓🧪 Students strategically “fired” at coordinates, identifying elements and sharpening their knowledge of atomic numbers and symbols along the way. It was a fun, hands-on way to reinforce their learning—and let’s just say, their chemistry was explosive! 💥 Who knew sinking ships could help build such strong science skills?
