Smarter Balanced testing is just around the corner. All South Dakota schools are required to participate in these assessments in accordance with SDCL 13-3-55. While these tests are important, our main goal is for students to simply do their best and demonstrate what they know.
We understand that testing can sometimes cause anxiety. At home, you can help by ensuring your child gets plenty of rest, eats a healthy breakfast (either at home or school), and feels encouraged to give their best effort.
**April 14th: Lunchtime Solutions will provide breakfast for all Scotland students who would like to participate. Thank you to our community sponsor for paying for this breakfast for our district.
We also recognize that schedules can be busy, but if possible, please try to avoid scheduling appointments on your child’s testing days. If a student is absent, they will need to make up the test at a later time.
