Britney is headed to the Semifinal round of the Championship bracket after a dominant performance:
Round 1 – Britney Rueb (Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon) 27-0 won by fall over Ragan Peacock (Harrisburg) 30-16 in 2:24.
Quarterfinal – Britney Rueb (Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon) 27-0 won by fall over Hailey Fortney (West Central) 23-16 in 3:02.
Two matches. Two falls. On to the semifinals!

The Lady Trappers battled until the final buzzer Tuesday night in Plankinton, falling to Mount Vernon/Plankinton in a hard-fought 44–40 game.
Leading the way for the Trappers:
• Lexie McNinch – 16 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists
• Kailin Odens – 9 points, 12 rebounds
• Zoe Schaeffer – 6 points
• Hope Starwalt – 4 points, 3 steals
The girls competed with toughness on the boards and intensity on defense, keeping it a one-possession game down the stretch. While the season comes to a close, the fight and heart this team showed all year long was something to be proud of.
A special thank you to our seniors — Kailin, Lexie, and Ashlyn — for your leadership, commitment, and everything you’ve given to Lady Trapper Basketball. Your impact on this program will last far beyond this season. 💛🖤
Proud of you, Lady Trappers!
Coach Schlimgen Comments: We traveled to Plankinton for a 1st round Region 5A game. Like alot of post-season games it was a tough defensive battle back and forth between the two teams. While we did a really good job of limiting our turnovers, getting offensive rebounds, and getting to the FT line we came up a few points short in the end. We did a better job offensively but just a few clutch baskets by the Titans pushed them to a victory.
While the wins and losses wasn't where we wanted them to be I am extremely proud of this group of players for the way they competed, listened, and brought joy to the game every day. It was an honor to be part of this team thats full of girls that are going to become extremely successful adults.

Best of luck to Scotland’s own Britney Rueb as she competes at the State Wrestling Tournament in Sioux Falls (February 26–28)!
You can follow Britney in the 135 lb bracket on Trackwrestling and cheer her on every step of the way!
We’re also proud of our Region 3 qualifiers:
115 – Sydney
120 – Jasmine
125 – Harper
130 – Hadlee
135 – Britney
190 – Hope
Wrestle tough. Wrestle fearless. Leave it all on the mat. 💪
