Shon Whitwood II will be graduating in the spring of 2026 from Scotland High School. After graduation he plans to attend the University of South Dakota in August of 2026 to obtain his Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (B.S.N.). During his time in Scotland, he is involved in a couple of activities including Play, Oral Interpretation, Band, FFA, and National Honors Society. He currently lives with his Father (Shon Whitwood), Mother (Leah Whitwood), Younger brother (Charles Whitwood), and his stepbrother (Matthew Gratzfeld). Outside of school Shon enjoys being active in his local youth group, hanging out with friends, and working with the residents at the Scotland Good Samaritan Society. He is very excited about graduation and is looking forward to taking the next step in his life to see where it leads him in the future.

From her beginnings in Kaylor, to the old elementary school classrooms, to the basement rooms in the high school, to the new 5th grade in attached elementary, and finally to middle school social studies, Mrs. Haberman has impacted generations of students from 1990–2026. Through every classroom move and every new group of students, she brought dedication, patience, humor, and care that will never be forgotten.
Thank you, Mrs. Haberman, for the countless lives you have shaped, the encouragement you gave students when they needed it most, and the pride you showed in our school and community. Your impact reaches far beyond lessons and assignments — it lives in the memories and success of the students you taught over the years.
We wish you nothing but the very best in retirement and in this next chapter of life. Scotland School District will not be the same without you, but we already know this is not truly goodbye. We have a feeling we’ll be seeing you again… maybe subbing this fall, maybe in five years… either way, the door will always be open!
Thank you for everything, Mrs. Haberman. Once a Highlander, always a Highlander.

We can’t wait to see all they accomplish as the Highlander Class of 2038! 🧡🖤
