Last night, we were proud to recognize our high school basketball officials during the doubleheader between the Scotland/Menno Trappers and the Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder. Thank you for dedicating your time, expertise, and commitment to the game. Your hard work and professionalism are truly appreciated—this week and all season long!

🏀 Girls Basketball
Scotland-Menno had successful fourth quarter to secure a 37-34 victory over the Thunder in girls’ basketball action Friday night, earning the Lady Trappers their first win of the season.

Kailin Odens led Scotland-Menno with 14 points, showing her presence in the paint alongside Emmalyn Heckenlaible, who added nine points. The duo found consistent success inside using their height. It was also encouraging to see Odens back on the floor after returning from injury.

🏀 Boys Basketball

The Scotland-Menno boys’ basketball team saw the offense break through as the Trappers found success from behind the three-point line. At times, the game turned into a three-point shootout as both teams traded baskets from beyond the arc.

Izayah Ulmer finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Hunter Clark added 18 points. Micah Goehring made his first start of the season and contributed eight points as part of a balanced scoring effort.

Hunter Yosten recorded eight points and nine rebounds, Jarret Andretta added three steals, and additional scoring came off the bench from Stoebner as Scotland-Menno picked up the victory.

Scotland-Menno also won the junior varsity contest 44-37.
