Coach’s Comments:
This was the biggest MS/JV tournament of our season, and our wrestlers saw a lot of high-level competition. While we dropped some very close and tough matches, our kids showed a lot of promising things throughout the day. There’s still plenty of work to do, but this was a great learning opportunity moving forward.
Proud of the effort and growth from this group. 💪🖤💛

Check out this week’s schedule of events. Please remember that times and details may change as needed. Be sure to follow updates from coaches for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

We faced some very tough competition at the Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Tournament. Several of our wrestlers matched up against highly rated opponents, and the experience was invaluable.
A huge highlight for our program was Aydden Trautmann, who became the first wrestler in Trapper history to reach the finals, finishing 2nd place. An outstanding accomplishment!
While there’s still plenty to work on, this tournament was a great way for our varsity group to head into Christmas break. Keep in mind, all of our wrestlers competing were only 7th and 8th graders at a varsity meet, making their performances even more impressive.
Results:
126 lbs – Aydden Trautmann: 2nd Place
113 lbs – Eli Mehlhaff: 5th Place
106 lbs – Ethan Mehlhaff: DNP
144 lbs – Lucas Walloch: DNP
150 lbs – Bentley Trautmann: DNP
175 lbs – Carson Pietz: DNP
Proud of the effort and growth shown by this group. 💪🤼♂️

Congrats to Brooke and Jillian on their successful auditions! We're so proud of all of your hard work and dedication!

We are proud to celebrate Steve Henry as a Modern Woodmen of America Hometown Hero!
The Hometown Hero program recognizes individuals who go above and beyond in serving their communities, and Steve truly embodies that spirit of selfless service. He was nominated by local members and officially recognized Tuesday night during our home double-header basketball game. 🏀
Steve serves our school as a dedicated maintenance team member, putting in countless hours to keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and running smoothly for students, staff, and visitors. Beyond the school day, Steve continues to give back through his church, where he volunteers in many ways — including running the sound system, helping with the youth group, serving on church council, and stepping in wherever help is needed.
As part of this recognition, Modern Woodmen of America is making a donation to a charity or project of Steve’s choice, further supporting the community he serves so faithfully.
Thank you, Steve, for your hard work, generosity, and heart for others. Our school and community are better because of you! 👏
