Our middle school computer classes got creative with Valentine’s Pixel Art in Google Sheets! 💻❤️
Using a structured grid pattern, students designed digital heart graphics and Valentine messages by treating spreadsheet cells like pixels. While they followed specific layout requirements, they had full creative freedom with their color choices — and the results are awesome!

Our Photo II class spread the love this Valentine’s Day! ❤️📸
Students used layering, foreground elements, and forced perspective techniques to create a fun 3D Valentine’s effect. They also photographed several of our elementary classes, carefully editing each image before sending them home for families to enjoy.

Our Spring Visual Communications class has been spreading the love by designing custom Valentine cards using Adobe Illustrator. Students have been learning how to use shapes, typography, color palettes, and creative layouts to bring their ideas to life digitally.
We’re excited to share their designs and celebrate both creativity and kindness today. We hope your day is filled with appreciation, friendship, and a little extra sweetness!
The Scotland/Menno Trappers fourth grade team came up just short in a hard-fought battle, falling short by two points, 22–24, in a great game. The Trappers showed determination, hustle, and teamwork from start to finish, battling every possession and never backing down. It was a strong effort all around and something to be proud of! 🏀💪
The Scotland/Menno Trapper third grade boys picked up a great win on the road last night, defeating the Bon Homme Cavaliers 23–12 in Tyndall! They played strong, and showed great teamwork from start to finish. Awesome effort by the whole team—keep up the hard work! 🏀👏

The Scotland/Menno Trappers GBB team will travel to Bonesteel on Saturday, February 14, to compete in the Great Plains Conference Classic. They will take on Burke at 5:30 p.m.

Today in 9th Grade Physical Science, learning was literally launched!
Our students took on the challenge of designing and building their own marble catapults as part of learning about forces and motion. Using basic materials and creativity, the class divided into teams and made devices capable of launching marbles.
After researching the different energies, motion, and of course Newton’s Laws, students were able to put theory into action. They tested angles, adjusted force, measured distances, and changed their designs throughout the week.
The Auxiliary Gym was filled with cheers (and a dramatic miss!) as the small teams competed to see whose catapult launched the marble the farthest. Our farthest launch was 10.1m! For some students, learning is more fun when they can experiment and compete in a hands-on way.
