Our Spring Visual Communications class is feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️✨

Students used Adobe Illustrator to design festive St. Patrick’s Day cards, combining creative typography, color palettes, and digital illustration skills to bring their ideas to life. Each card shows off their growing creativity and design techniques.

We’re proud of their hard work and the creativity they continue to share—may your day be filled with a little extra luck! 🌈🍀

Congratulations to Britney Rueb on officially signing to continue her academic and wrestling career at Southeast Community College (Beatrice, NE) as a member of the Bobcats Wrestling Program! 💙🐾

Britney’s hard work, determination, and dedication have truly paid off, and we are so proud to see her take this next step.

She was joined on this special day by her parents, Joy and David, BHSA Coach Jim Kocer, Principal DeLange, and a couple of close friends who came out to celebrate and support her.

We can’t wait to see all that you accomplish at the next level—once a Highlander, always a Highlander! 🧡🖤

Last week half of our 7th graders put their problem-solving skills to the test during STEAM class this week! 🤖 Using Sphero robots, students explored coding, teamwork, and creativity as they programmed their robots to complete different challenges. There were plenty of laughs, a few unexpected detours, and lots of learning along the way. It’s always exciting to see students think like engineers, testing ideas, fixing mistakes, and celebrating when their code finally works. The future of innovation is bright with this group! 🚀💡

Due to weather concerns, the Howard CDE has been moved to Wednesday. Because of the schedule change, Scotland FFA will no longer be attending this event.

Congratulations to all of our Knight & Trapper wrestlers who competed at Region 3 in Mitchell! Your hard work, determination, and effort on the mat made us proud.

We’re excited to announce that 23 Knight & Trapper wrestlers are advancing to the AAU State Tournament in Sioux Falls next weekend!

The top 3 wrestlers in each bracket advance to State, and this year Region 3 also advances the top 4 in the 10U division.

A huge congratulations to all of our participants for representing our programs with pride. Good luck to those heading to State in Sioux Falls!

The 8th grade girls had a positively charged day at the Women in Science event in Sioux Falls! Throughout the day they wore many hats, stepping into the roles of meteorologists, detectives, doctors, and more. They explored different careers, spoke with representatives from different colleges, asked great questions, and showed plenty of curiosity. It was a fun, hands-on experience that proved these girls definitely have the right chemistry for science! 🔬🧪

📸🎉 SHS Picture Day – One Day of Organized Chaos! 🎉📸

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 25th — it’s going to be a busy (and fun!) day at SHS!

In addition to Spring Sports & Activities Group Pictures by Mark’s Photography, the SHS Media Club Spring Picture Day will also take place!

📷 Photography II students will be taking:
• Individual student portraits
• Sibling photos
• Class group photos (not composites)

📝 Ordering Information:
Each photo size can be ordered as either an Individual OR a Sibling photo.
✔ Please check the correct box for each size on the order form.
✔ Sibling photos include all listed siblings photographed together.
✔ Sibling photos will ONLY be taken if at least one photo size is marked “Sibling.”

💵 Order Forms can be picked up in offices or with Mrs. Suurmeier. To order pictures, complete the order form and return it with cash or check to the school by Tuesday, March 24th.

❗ Important: If no order form is returned, no individual or sibling photos will be taken.
