A single by Lexie McNinch, and a double by Ivana Schaeffer helped Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers extend their early lead in the third. Tryouts are done in partners and consist of a toe touch and one other jump of your choice, three chants, one cheer, and a dance.

Joseph Jasso is a 2026 graduate of Scotland High School. He plans on attending South Dakota State University in the fall of 2026 with plans to major in accounting. Joseph is the son of Jeff and Jennifer Jasso, and he has a twin brother who is also a 2026 graduate, Josiah (17). Joseph has participated in track and field for three years, earning most improved male athlete his sophomore year. He has been a part of student council for 2 years, taking on roles such as class representative and class president. Activities he has participated in in high school include Vocal (2 years), Yearbook (1 year), National Honor Society (2 years), and he has been involved in his church youth group (5 years). Some of his favorite activities include spending time with friends. He is excited about what is to come but will miss everyone he has met. His favorite teachers are Mrs. Fuks and Mrs. Walloch.

From Coach Rokusek: The Trapper Golf team competed in the Great Plains Conference meet today. The boys were in Scotland and the girls were in Tyndall. For the girls Sutton Bueber got 15th, Kailin Odens got 14th and Campbell Mogck finished 6th in the conference. For the boys Asher Sykora was the low man today and finished in 14th for the conference. Congrats Trappers!!!!
