Driver education will begin on Monday, March 2, at 3:30. A schedule of classes will be given to the students on the first day. The course consists of 30 hours of classroom (several will be in early March with two-hour sessions after school from 3:30 to 5:30 until track practice begins and some will be on Friday mornings in March when we do not have school or Saturday mornings). The driving phase consists of 6 hours of driving with 6 hours of observing a partner which will start in May when school is out. These are state guidelines.
If you have questions about the program, please contact instructor Jim Kocer at the school (583-2237) or at home (583-2773) or e-mail him at jim.kocer@k12.sd.us.

In a tight, back-and-forth contest, Scotland/Menno made the plays that mattered late to secure the victory.
Lexie McNinch led the way with 8 points and 14 rebounds, controlling the glass all night. Kailin Odens added 7 points and 9 rebounds, while Emmalyn Heckenlaible chipped in 7 points and 5 rebounds.
Hope Starwalt contributed 4 points and 5 rebounds, and Kylie Gothmiller added 4 points and 7 rebounds to help anchor the defensive effort.
A big part of this team’s consistency all season has been the steady presence of Zoe Schaeffer, who has started throughout the year, and Ashlyn Burkett, who has played a key role in the rotation and brings valuable energy and leadership every night.
These girls compete hard — and they like to have fun doing it — and that chemistry showed in another close win for the Lady Trappers.

Let’s celebrate agriculture and FFA all week long! 🌾🐄🌽

A tough second quarter created a gap the Trappers had to chase the rest of the way. Scotland/Menno fought back and had opportunities late, but missed layups in the final minute sealed the outcome.
Izayah Ulmer led the Trappers with 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Brock Buechler added 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals, while Hunter Yosten contributed 8 points and 4 rebounds.
Hunter Clark finished with 4 points, and Jarret Andretta stuffed the stat sheet defensively with 6 steals to go along with 3 points and 4 rebounds.
Despite the setback, the Trappers showed resilience and defensive intensity throughout conference play.
The Trappers now turn their attention to the Region 5A Boys Tournament beginning March 3, with location and opponent to be determined.

There’s a lot happening this week both in and out of the classroom! Be sure to check the schedule and plan accordingly. As always, event times and details may change, so please follow updates from coaches and advisors for the most accurate information.
