The Trappers Girls JV team finishes its season with a pair of Wins!
On Tuesday the JV team played Viborg-Hurley and and won the first of 2 games by a score of 17 to 12.
Leading the way for the Trappers was Leah Crick with 6 points, Avery Smith with 4 points, and Elle Hlavac with 3 points. Campbell Mogck had 6 rebounds and Eve Robb had 4 steals.
On Thursday the JV team played Parker-Marion in a single contest and won by a score of 19 to 13.
Leading the way for the Trappers was Emilee Hall with 8 points, Morgan Bauder with 4 points, both Campbell Mogck and Ivana Schaeffer each had 3 points. Bauder also had 9 rebounds, and Mina Bjorum had 7 steals.
It all starts with defense and rebounding, our defense both in the full and half court was aggressive and active. We moved the ball well, found some open looks and hit some shots. We also did a good job of taking care of the ball and limiting our turnovers. Every girl contributed to the team's success in some way. It was a great way to end the JV season.

The Scotland/Menno Trappers were in a tight battle Friday night, trailing just 31-35 at halftime against the Pheasants. A tough stretch to open the third quarter created a gap that proved difficult to overcome, as the Trappers eventually fell 69-53.
Izayah Ulmer had a big offensive night, pouring in 27 points to go along with 7 rebounds. Hunter Clark added 7 points, while Jarret Andretta contributed 4 points and 6 rebounds, along with defensive pressure that resulted in steals and assists.
On the boards, Hunter Yosten pulled down 8 rebounds to go with 4 points, and Micah Goering added 5 points and 4 rebounds.
Despite the setback, the Trappers showed resilience, keeping the game competitive through the first half before the third-quarter surge by the Pheasants made the difference.

The C boys fell 27-41, followed by a 21-41 loss in the JV game.
In varsity action, the Trappers dropped a 24-65 decision to a strong Viborg-Hurley squad. Despite the final score, the Trappers continued to compete against one of the area’s top teams.
