Kadence Bierle collected three hits in four at bats, as Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers defeated Wagner Varsity Red Raiders 15-0 on Saturday at Avon. Bierle singled in the second inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ervin Schrock singled to center field, Kimberly Kubal lined out, and Elle Hlavac walked, each scoring one run.
A single by Bierle, and a ground out by Emmalyn Heckenlaible helped Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers extend their early lead in the second.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers scored seven runs on five hits in the top of the third inning. Schrock singled, scoring one run, Bierle singled, scoring one run, Kubal was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Heckenlaible singled, scoring one run, Hlavac grounded out, scoring two runs, and Lexie McNinch singled, scoring one run.
Kylie Guthmiller earned the win for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The starter surrendered zero hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out eight and walking one. Mara Wright took the loss for Wagner Varsity Red Raiders. The starter went three innings, surrendering 14 runs (11 earned) on eight hits, striking out five and walking six.
Schrock collected two hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers in four at bats. Bierle and Ivana Schaeffer each stole multiple bases for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. Kylie Guthmiller drove in five runs on four hits to lead Trappers past Winner Varsity Warriors 17-0 on Saturday at Avon. Guthmiller singled in the first scoring two, doubled in the third scoring two, and doubled in the second scoring one.
A single by Guthmiller put Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers on the board in the bottom of the first.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Ivana Schaeffer laid down a sacrifice bunt, Ervin Schrock singled to the left side of the infield, Guthmiller doubled down the left field line, and Kadence Bierle doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Trappers scored seven runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. Guthmiller doubled, scoring two runs, Kimberly Kubal doubled, scoring one run, Emmalyn Heckenlaible doubled, scoring one run, Lexie McNinch tripled, scoring two runs, and Bailey Neuharth drew a walk, scoring one run.
Four more Trappers runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 17-0. Bierle homered to center field, scoring three runs, and Elle Hlavac grounded out, scoring one run.
Guthmiller earned the win for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The pitcher allowed two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out nine and walking two. Kenli Pollard took the loss for Winner Varsity Warriors. The starting pitcher went three and one-third innings, surrendering 15 runs (13 earned) on 13 hits, striking out two and walking six.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers amassed 16 hits in the game. Bierle, McNinch, Schrock, Heckenlaible, and Schaeffer each collected multiple hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers had trouble keeping up with Bon Homme JV in a 10-3 loss on Monday at Scotland.
Bon Homme JV got on the board in the top of the first inning after #10 walked, #9 walked, #6 walked, #18 was struck by a pitch, and #19 walked, each scoring one run.
Bon Homme JV extended their early lead with five runs in the top of the second thanks to RBI walks by #13, #10, #9, #6, and #18.
#2 earned the win for Bon Homme JV. The starting pitcher allowed zero hits and three runs over two innings, striking out two and walking five.
Loftis, Neuharth, and Bueber each drove in one run for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers. Schaeffer stole two bases. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers ran wild on the base paths, tallying five stolen bases for the game.

Despite leading by as many as five runs, Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers fell to Bon Homme Varsity Cavaliers 13-6 on Monday.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to three walks. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers first got on the board when Hlavac drew a walk, scoring one run.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers added two runs in the second after Guthmiller grounded out.
Bon Homme Varsity Cavaliers captured the lead, 6-5, in the top of the fourth when Kaul doubled, scoring one run, and Alberts singled, scoring two runs.
