BY Electric was at Scotland School yesterday to present Jenny Stark with her $250 scholarship check as a Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week!
Jenny was selected for this honor because of her outstanding dedication to academics, leadership, and service. She is a member of National Honor Society, has earned Academic All-State, and has been on the Honor Roll all four years. Jenny is also a strong leader, serving four years on Student Council, including President her senior year. She stays active in school through Volleyball, Cheerleading, and by supporting athletics as a Basketball Statistician. She also contributes to the arts through Choir, Band, Oral Interp, and participation in the school Play. Jenny represented her school with pride as a Girls State delegate.
Outside of the classroom, Jenny is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Youth Group, regularly performs the National Anthem at school and community events, serves as a Computer Teacher’s Aide, and works as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at the local nursing home—showing her strong commitment to caring for others and serving her community.
The Touchstone Energy Scholar of the Week program recognizes high school seniors who excel in academics, leadership, and community involvement and who demonstrate integrity, innovation, and dedication to their community.

⚫Winners are featured on local media, including Dakota News Now
⚫Each recipient receives a $250 award from their local Touchstone Energy Cooperative
⚫Scholars may be eligible for additional scholarships at the end of the school year
⚫The program runs September through May
⚫Students are nominated by school faculty or staff

It was another nail-biter, and the crowd certainly got their money’s worth as the Scotland/Menno Trappers edged the Pirates, 53–50, in a hard-fought, back-and-forth matchup.
Izayah Ulmer led the Trappers with 16 points, adding 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
Erick Buechler chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds, providing a strong presence inside.
Jarret Andretta filled the stat sheet with 10 points, 5 steals, and 3 assists, sparking the Trappers on both ends of the floor.
Hunter Yosten added 8 points and 5 rebounds in the close win.
A physical battle from start to finish, the Trappers made the key plays down the stretch to come away with the victory. 🖤💛🏀

🏀 Season Wrap-Up – Great Job Girls! 🏀
The 3rd/4th & 5th Grade Girls Basketball season has come to an end at the Bon Homme Tournament, and what a great way to finish!
The 3rd/4th grade team played hard today and showed tremendous effort on the court.
The 5th grade team battled through the day with three very close games, showing great court awareness and hustle up and down the floor. They capped off the day—and the season—with a hard-fought win.
So proud of the effort, growth, and teamwork shown by both teams this season. Great job, girls! 🖤💛🏀

The Trappers wrapped up the final regular season varsity tournament of the year at the Parker Tournament, facing tough competition and continuing to gain valuable mat time as we move into postseason action.
