The middle school and JV Trapper golf teams competed in Burke and Gregory today.
In the JV division Campbell Mogck got 7th place.
In the Junior High Girls division Alody Gramkow got 14th and Sutton Bueber got 6th
In the JH Boys Tommy Robb got 15th, Owen Bueber got 9th, Brigham Rokusek 8th, Parker Vaith 7th and Asher Sykora 4th.
The boys Division was tight. Only 2 shots separated 9th and 1st place!!

Strong Hitting Not Enough As Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers Falls To Avon Junior Varsity Lady Pirates

Even though Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers collected five hits to Avon Junior Varsity Lady Pirates's three, they still fell 10-7 on Monday at Scotland. Bailey Neuharth and Ivana Schaeffer each collected two hits for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers.
Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers opened the scoring in the first after one run scored on another play.
Avon Junior Varsity Lady Pirates flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on one hit to take the lead, 5-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by #7 that drove in one.
Avon Junior Varsity Lady Pirates scored five runs on one hit in the top of the third inning. #3 drew a walk, scoring one run, a wild pitch scored one run, #6 singled, scoring two runs, and a steal of home scored one run.
Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers scored six runs on two hits in the bottom of the third inning. Schaeffer singled, scoring two runs, Autumn Hargens drew a walk, scoring one run, and Neuharth doubled, scoring three runs.
Hargens opened the game for Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers. The righty surrendered three hits and 10 runs (eight earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking seven.
Neuharth led Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The first baseman went 2-for-2 on the day. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers stole seven bases in the game. Scotland/Menno Junior Varsity Trappers didn't commit a single error in the field. Schaeffer had the most chances in the field with two.

Ervin Schrock’s Big Day Propels Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers Past Avon Varsity Pirates

Ervin Schrock drove in six runs on three hits to lead Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers past Avon Varsity Pirates 17-14 on Monday. Schrock doubled in the second scoring two, doubled in the sixth scoring two, and singled in the fifth scoring one.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers collected 15 hits and Avon Varsity Pirates 16 in the high-scoring affair.
A double by Kylie Guthmiller on an 0-2 count put Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers on the board in the bottom of the first.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Lexie McNinch singled, scoring one run, Schrock doubled, scoring two runs, Kadence Bierle singled, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Ivana Schaeffer doubled to center field, and Schrock grounded out, each scoring one run.
Kimberly Kubal hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fourth for the Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers.
Avon Varsity Pirates scored five runs on three hits in the top of the seventh inning. Jordyn homered to left field, scoring three runs, and an error scored two runs.
Guthmiller earned the win for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The starting pitcher surrendered 16 hits and 14 runs (eight earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking two. Kaydence took the loss for Avon Varsity Pirates. The hurler went six innings, surrendering 17 runs (14 earned) on 15 hits, striking out three and walking six.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers accumulated 15 hits in the game. Guthmiller, Schrock, and Bailey Neuharth each collected three hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. McNinch collected two hits for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers in three at bats. Schaeffer paced Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating six walks for the game. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers turned one double play in the game.
Avon Varsity Pirates amassed 16 hits in the game. Jordyn led Avon Varsity Pirates with five runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Luke Bierle doubled, scoring one run, Buechler singled, scoring one run, and Garret Lehr singled, scoring two runs.
Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Buechler singled to left field, and Lehr grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.
Lehr earned the win for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The starter allowed two hits and two runs (zero earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking none. Jacob Kotab took the loss for Wagner/Avon/Lake Andes Varsity raiders. The left-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs on seven hits, striking out one and walking one. Lane Pavel appeared in relief for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers.

Kylie Guthmiller Has Lots Of Hits But Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers Fall To Castlewood Warriors

Kylie Guthmiller collected three hits in three at bats, but Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers lost to Castlewood Warriors 8-3 on Saturday. Guthmiller hit a solo home run to center field in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the fifth inning.
Castlewood Warriors got on the board in the first inning after a steal of home scored one run.
Guthmiller homered to center field, which helped Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Castlewood Warriors flipped the game on its head in the top of the second, scoring five runs on four hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Cydni Kudrna on the sixth pitch of the at-bat that drove in two.
Claire Horn earned the win for Castlewood Warriors. The righty gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over five innings, striking out 10 and walking two. Guthmiller took the loss for Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers. The righty went five innings, allowing eight runs on nine hits, striking out six and walking four.
Bailey Neuharth stole two bases. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers ran wild on the base paths, piling up four stolen bases for the game. Scotland/Menno Varsity Trappers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Ervin Schrock had the most chances in the field with six.
Kudrna led Castlewood Warriors with two runs batted in. The leadoff hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Sophia Kudrna, Lucy Jacobsen, Kudrna, and Lilly Jacobsen each collected two hits for Castlewood Warriors. Kayla Goens, Jacobsen, and Jacobsen each stole multiple bases for Castlewood Warriors. Castlewood Warriors ran wild on the base paths, piling up nine stolen bases for the game.
